昭和新山

昭和新山: しょうわしんざん【昭和新山】

1943年（昭和18）から45年にかけての火山活動により，北海道の洞爺(トウヤ)湖南側，有珠(ウス)火山の東麓に生じた側火山。海抜402メートル。山麓の畑地が隆起しつづけ，一年九か月の間に新しい山体を形成した。特別天然記念物。
